• No accounts, no tracking. This site has no analytics, ads or tracking cookies.
• Newsletter: if you sign up, your email address goes to Kit (kit.com), the service that sends the Thursday email. We only use it to send the newsletter, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
• Submit form: what you type into the "list your bar" form is stored on Cloudflare (our web host) so we can review it by hand. We also keep the date, your country and browser type, plus a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address to block spam; we never store the IP itself.
• "Near me" stays on your device. If you allow location access, the distance math runs in your browser, and we never receive your location.
• Maps: city maps load tiles from OpenStreetMap, which sees standard request data like your IP address. The map library is loaded from unpkg.com.
• If we add analytics or sponsor links later, we'll update this page first and say which providers we use.
